In the heart of underserved communities like Vrygrond and Masiphumelele, where financial hardship often extends to the furry members of families, TEARS Animal Rescue’s mobile clinics are a beacon of hope.
Western Cape, South Africa (13 March 2025) – In many underserved communities, at times, it’s animals that have it the hardest. Not because their owners don’t care for them, but because of financial strains and limited resources.
The funds required to sterilise a cat or a trip to the vet when a dog shows signs of being unwell may be a huge obstacle for a pet owner already struggling to make ends meet.
In communities like Vrygrond, Ocean View, Redhill, and Masiphumelele, this reality is prevalent, and that is where TEARS Animal Rescue Mobile Clinics offer a lifeline for countless animals in need and or that lack access to essential healthcare.
Imagine the relief of a flea-infested puppy finally being cleaned, refreshed and medicated or an older dog finally being cured of parvovirus or distemper after prolonged suffering.
Through its mobile clinics, the animal welfare charity is able to rescue the sick, treat injuries, vaccinate, sterilize and protect vulnerable animals from disease.
“But we can’t do it alone. By becoming a monthly donor, you ensure these life-saving services continue.
“Your support helps us transport pets in need, educate communities, and create a kinder world for animals,” TEARS Animal Rescue said.
You can join the mobile clinic movement and bring relief to many animals in need by visiting the TEARS website.
