Woodrock Animal Rescue has cut the ribbon on its new thrift store that’s set to make supporting animal welfare as simple as a shopping spree.
Fourways, South Africa (11 March 2025) — The Woodrock Animal Rescue team had a big day recently as they cut the ribbon on their very own thrift store and ushered in a new era of guilt-free shopping.
Based at Riversands I-Hub on Incubation Drive in Fourways, ‘Woodrock Thrift’ is fashioned with a myriad of goodies from the practical to the quirky.
Clothes, furniture and trinkets galore; the thrift store stands proudly as a way to help the non-profit continue their mission for animal wellbeing while helping shoppers access a wide-range of items they might fall in love with.

A pro-life shelter that rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes animals, Woodrock Animal Rescue has had its paws on the ground since 1992. With decades of impact behind them, the new store is one way to help support the decades ahead.
When you decide to shop at a spot like Woodrock Thrift, you’re not just paying for an item (or four), you’re also paying towards Woodrock’s efforts for animal wellbeing. And, you’re being more sustainable in the process by thrifting!
Amid the many niches Woodrock serves for hundreds of animals, funds generated from the thrift store are set to serve its sterilisation programme.
The thrift store is open from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 3 pm.
And, if you can’t shop, you can still support the new store by donating pre-loved items! You can get in touch via retha@woodrockanimalrescue.co.za.
