Fish Hoek fishermen accidentally caught a shark in their nets and quickly jumped into action to free it and get it back into the ocean.
Fish Hoek, South Africa (15 December 2020) – The Fish Hoek fishermen caught a Bronze Whaler Shark in their nets and quickly jumped into action to release it. In the now-viral video, you can see one of the fishermen gently stroking the shark as they worked to get it back into the ocean.
Relying on hand nets, the fishermen haul in shoals of fish by hand and sometimes, they will catch more than they intended on. According to a regular beach-goer, the guys will sometimes catch a shark and quickly release it before any excess stress is induced.

The fast-acting fishermen pulled the shark free from their nets and with the help of a bystander used the waves to get the shark back to the deeper waters so it could swim off.
By the time they got the shark back to safety, the crowd was on edge. They rejoiced and clapped. thanking the fishermen for acting so fast to save its life.
