Dogs are known for their quirky personalities and unexpected stunts! A gentle Golden Retriever named Buddy was captured on video in a moment of prayer.

 

Cape Town, South Africa (27 January 2025) – Dogs have a way of doing the most endearing and unexpected things when you least expect it!

A video of a Cape Town Golden Retriever named Buddy seemingly praying has brought smiles and captured the hearts of South Africans!

In the heartwarming footage, shared by Buddy’s loving family on a TikTok account dedicated solely to him, the adorable pup is seen sitting upright on the floor with his paws on the couch, his eyes gently closed. He appears to be in a moment of deep contemplation, resembling someone engaged in prayer. Well, have you ever!

His mommy is also seen in the clip, completely amused and taken aback by her dog’s sacred moment of connection to a higher power.

The video, aptly captioned “Buddy Bhajas” – a nod to the family’s Dharmic background – has gone viral, garnering over a million views and countless comments from viewers charmed by Buddy’s peaceful and spiritual demeanour.
