The finalists from the 2021 Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards have been announced and their photos are brilliant; these are our favourite animals.

Global (07 September 2021) – Every year, the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards highlight the funniest photos of animals taken in the wild. Talented photographers from around the world manage to capture moments where animals seem to be experiencing very human emotions or dilemmas. The competition is now in its 7th year.

The Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards, ingeniously titled to avoid any confusion, was the result of two factors: Firstly, a need for a photography competition that was light-hearted, upbeat, unpretentious and mainly about wildlife doing funny things. After its first year, these objectives seem to have been met. Secondly, and way more importantly, this competition is about conservation.

The awards were co-founded by Paul Joynson-Hicks and Tom Sullam – two British photographers with a passion for animals. They partnered with The Born Free Foundation to promote wildlife conservation through humorous and lighthearted imagery.

Every year, thousands of entries come from all over the world from photographers who managed to capture animals during their most funny moments. The finalists for 2021 have been announced and the winners will be announced on the 22nd of October 2021.

You will find all the finalists here but take a look below for some of our favourites. Which of these is your favourite?
