Mom see's a baby ghost's face in son's crib; says she 'could kill' husband after learning why!

An Illinois mother said she was completely freaked out after she spotted what looked like a ‘ghost baby’ sleeping in her son’s crib.

Illinois, United States of America – Halloween came early for Martiza Elizabeth (32) who shared a creepy photo on Facebook from the baby monitor, which showed the outline of a “ghost baby” near her son. Elizabeth took a picture of the monitor and said at first she thought her eyes were playing tricks on her and “tried to ignore it” before getting “so freaking out” she couldn’t sleep.

“So last night I was positive there was a ghost baby in the bed with my son. I was so freaked out, I barely slept. I even tried creeping in there with a flashlight while my son was sleeping.”

“I didn’t see anything unusual in the crib at all. I was trying to feel around to see if there was any wetness – we thought there might be some drool on the sheet – but I didn’t feel any,” she told Yahoo Lifestyle UK.

“I told myself maybe it was just a stain on the sheet and left the room. I probably went in there about three more times throughout the night.”

To make matters worse, Elizabeth said her husband was working that night, which scared her even more, as she was alone with her children in the house.

“I kept opening my eyes to check to make sure the ‘ghost’ wasn’t moving. Then when I would start to finally relax, my son would roll over, and I’d be on high alert again. Every time I checked on him, though, he seemed completely fine.”

Once morning came, Elizabeth went into the room to get to the bottom of the creepy apparition.

“It turns out my husband just forgot to put the mattress protector on when he changed the sheets,” she wrote on Facebook, revealing a large picture of a baby’s face on a price tag attached to the mattress. The face – which is what Elizabeth saw on the camera – is usually covered by the mattress protector, which goes under the sheet.

Elizabeth said that when she told her husband what happened “he just laughed,” noting he had changed the sheets after their son had woken up “crying and wet” and had forgotten to put the mattress protector back on.
