Khwezi Lomso Comprehensive School recently hosted their Valedictorian assembly and a grade 8 learner sang them off with a beautiful performance.

Likhwithemba Booi wowed his entire school with a breathtaking, goosebump performance during the Khwezi Lomso Comprehensive School Valedictorian assembly. The young man sang for the school without any backing track.

He is the son of Kholisile Kotla Booi, who is the lead singer of a gospel group. His father is very proud of his son’s talent and the attention the viral video has received but confirmed that school is the most important and that Likhwithemba will need to complete his schooling before following a music career.

In an interview with The South African, Likhwithemba’s teacher Ericka Ferreira, confirmed that she never expected the video to go viral.

“I was totally blown away when the video went viral. The whole school is so proud of Likhwithemba.”

You can watch Likhwithemba’s rendition of Jonathan McReynolds’ ‘Everything’ below. It is a stellar performance!
