Whether you are for a sunny Christmas or a snowy Christmas, Joburg is giving us rain and grey skies, and Mike V calls it a trial winter Christmas.
Johannesburg, South Africa (08 December 2025)- South African radio personality Mike V is known for his funny takes on everyday life. From commenting on songs that best represent South Africa to the everyday life we all relate to, he always finds a way to make people laugh.
His latest video focuses on Johannesburg, which has been experiencing heavy rainfall this December. While most people expect sunny summer weather here (or dream of a snowy Christmas overseas) Mike V points out the reality in Joburg.
While some people expect a sunny Christmas here in South Africa, or hope for a snowy Christmas in the northern hemisphere, what South Africans are getting right now, according to Mike V, is more like a trial run for a winter Christmas.
“Come to Joburg now. Come to Joburg. It’s December and it’s cold! This is your trial version for a white Christmas.”
While some people dream of a cold, snowy Christmas in New York, Joburg gives us rain and wet, grey weather instead.
