The Kearsney College Choir is kicking up some dust in their latest performance which took place in the Valley of a Thousand Hills and feature epic gumboot dancing.
The Kearsney College Choir has become synonymous with vibrant, energetic performances and slick, professional productions. With its signature blend of classical, pop and indigenous music, the choir has built up a large international following of appreciative supporters.
Their latest performance has wowed social media users as it embraces beautiful South African culture, a mix of dance and song. The young men performed a choreographed gumboot dance, choreographed by the choir themselves. They paired their dance with the songs, ‘The Rainmaker’ from the movie The Power of One, and ‘Nkonyane KaNdaba’ from Sarafina.
The choir recently won two gold medals and one silver at the 10th World Choir Games hosted right here in South Africa.
“Thank you to KCOB Richard Gorven for producing the video and capturing the magic.”
