It’s like a beautiful electric jacaranda tree… a YouTube video featuring the ‘Minister of Politics’ asking us to turn on e-tolls is doing the rounds again, and we couldn’t help but share.

In the video the Minister explains how e-toll gantries are connected to nature which have connections to everything from trees that are clever enough to lose their leaves to look like other trees during winter, to her helicopter which has a god given right to live.

“You, the citizens of South Africa, have made some pretty strong remarks about the transparency, legality, ethicality and viability of SANRAL’s Gauteng e-Tolling Project.”

“But before you decide it’s the worst idea since Jacob Zuma thought the Nkandla tuckshop needed a R200 million security upgrade, please listen to the Minister of Politics’ very own spin on the situation. It’ll cost you next to nothing.”

She ends of the entire parody by offering you her new perfume, called ‘Precious’.

Award winning hilarious stand-up comedian and actress Tumi Morake plays the ‘Minister of Politics’. She personifies the fearless voice of satire – never afraid to tackle real South African issues with their unique brand of humour.
