Urgh! We cannot stop smiling at a now-viral video capturing a man’s utterly random yet heartwarming encounter with a curious little “bokkie” on the golf course.
Sasolburg, South Africa (15 April 2025) – An adorable and now-viral video of a man’s encounter with a little bokkie has given South Africans all the giggles and cute feels.
The footage, shared on Facebook by Ronald Rugumayo, shows the beautiful young buck approaching the man on what appears to be a golf course. Trying his best to keep still and calm as the springbok gives him some playful nudges and even a few pecks on the face, the man couldn’t help but giggle at his new companion’s antics.
Boasting the most stunning white and brown coat, the flirty springbok eventually went on her way and strolled the green among the other golf players.
It isn’t clear when exactly the footage was taken but it has gained much traction online, with over 972K views and the cutest comments from social media users who couldn’t help poking fun at how playful and friendly the antelope was.
Others even joked at how the man’s wife wouldn’t be too pleased to learn he now had a little “bokkie”.
Through the hundreds of comments, we’ve come to learn that this friendly creature, named Daisy, was sadly abandoned by her mother and is being lovingly raised by the Fouche family at the Heron Banks Golf Estate.
“She is being raised by the Fouche family at Heron Banks Golf Estate in Vaalpark, Sasolburg.
“Born November 2024, gets her milk bottle 3x daily and still sleeps inside next to my son’s bed,” comments Theresa Fouche on the viral post.
Daisy has easily captured our hearts with her warm and playful nature and reminded us of the stunning wildlife that graces our beloved country.
