A local SPAR store just delivered a knockout punch of humour! It all started when the store’s TikTok account playfully compared a gym enthusiast to fitness influencer Ashton Hall. Our muscle-bound friend, clearly not amused, tried to air his grievances in a video. That’s when things took a hilariously awkward turn.

George, South Africa (05 June 2025) – Outeniqua SUPERSPAR has us laughing out loud after throwing some serious shade at a gym boet who wasn’t too chuffed about a comment the store’s account left on one of his fitness TikTok videos.

A hilarious video shared by the store shows the gym enthusiast expressing that he wasn’t very happy with Outeniqua SUPERSPAR for leaving a comment which jokingly compared him to Ashton Hall – the former Division 1 running back who transitioned into a fitness influencer and coach known for his viral “morning routine” videos.

Before the guy could express that he wasn’t impressed with the comment, which forced him to pause his workout, the footage switches to a SPAR employee who instantly dismissed him, saying:

“We don’t care, little bru. Anyway, we’ve got some skinny sauce here for a skinny guy like you. Zero calories, plus it tastes really good. And because I see you struggling with the size bru (as he flexes his muscle), we’ve got Muscle Tech Mass Tech 80 grams of protein per serving, I think you need it.”

Sheesh, talk about a hilariously spicy comeback!

While we aren’t sure how our gym boet took that response, social media users, on the other hand, had a field day in the post’s comments section. They poked fun at the man for having beef with a superstore and the second-hand embarrassment of being called a “lil bru”.

From the one who boldly challenged a superstore to the other who engaged in witty banter, SA’s wit and humour are comedic gold! And Outeniqua are on the ball!
