If you’re sceptical about the new Russian COVID-19 vaccine Sputnik V… watch this. You will laugh.
Global (20 August 2020) – Russia’s unexpected announcement of a new vaccine has shocked researchers but not internet users who like to make others laugh!
Yes, the video is a parody but the vaccine is apparently not!
A website for what is being called “Sputnik V” claims that Russia has approved the world’s first COVID-19 vaccine and says a phase III efficacy trial involving more than 2000 people will begin on 12 August in Russia, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, and Mexico. Mass production of the vaccine is apparently going to start in September this year.
“Currently there are about 165 different vaccines for COVID-19 being developed around the world. The main types of vaccines include: viral vector-based vaccines, virus-based, nucleic acid-based and protein-based vaccines. Russian adenovirus vector-based vaccine was registered by the Russian Ministry of Health on August 11 and became the first registered COVID-19 vaccine on the market. The announcement created a so-called “Sputnik moment” for the global community.
In 1957 the successful launch of the first space satellite by the Soviet Union reinvigorated space research around the world. The new Russian COVID-19 vaccine is therefore called Sputnik V.”
And since a lot of people are sceptical of the Russian COVID-19 vaccine, a Polish man took to YouTube to parody what the vaccine’s after-effects might look like.
