What started out as a normal bus ride to work, turned into a full performance by ‘Truth Hurts’.
It’s been a while since we heard from Truth Hurts but the singer-songwriter, who first made a splash on the charts in 2002 with her Dr. Dre-produced “Addictive,” is back singing her world chart hit… on a bus.
“Addictive” was a 2002 hit song by the singer. It was the lead single from her debut album, Truthfully Speaking and featured a verse from Rakim, based on a Hindi music sample.
The song was her only one to chart on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number nine, and selling over 600,000 copies in the US. It was also a top five hit in UK, France, South Africa and Switzerland, and went gold in several countries.
We’re not sure where the singer has been since 2002, but she’s back in what could be a precursor to a new album?
The video, currently going viral on social media, captures the bus ride which occurred somewhere in Europe. It shows unsuspecting commuters being welcomed on the ride with a desi song sung by a not-so-desi man. But that’s not where the surprise ends.
Moments later, the bus driver is joined by Truth Hurts herself – or, to give her real name, Shari Watson – who performed her hit song ‘Addictive’ for the passengers. There are also musicians playing different instruments to make the performance more awesome.
