Pun totally intended. Two very kind gentlemen have landed on our feed for doing a good thing. Helping not a chicken but the geese cross the road!

Cape Town, South Africa (14 January 2026) – It’s the little things that restore your faith in people. Like when you see two ordinary guys stop their cars, climb out, and help a family of geese reach the other end of a busy road.

It happened during peak hour traffic in the Mother City. Social media user Carly Suthy stopped to allow space for two men who were hard at work guiding 10 fluffy little goslings and their parents to safety.

The two gents protectively wade around the family as they slowly cross the road and reach a grass patch not too far away. According to the poster, a park is located nearby where the small but very charming act of kindness took place.

“Padel at 6pm, saving geese at 5pm,” the caption joked.

Imagine casually becoming a goose hero before your padel session. That’ll get you properly pumped up.

South Africans are charmed. The comments reflect what an animal-loving nation we’ve always been.

“Simple kindness goes along way people” wrote Bryce

“That’s my future husband and his best friend…that’s why I haven’t met him yet. His busy doing the good work,” said Mauruschka.

“That’s my country,” commented Bronte.

“The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated” – Ghandi, Far to go, but it least it shows it is possible!” wrote Perold.
