We rise by lifting others, and to mark its fifth anniversary, Boss Babes South Africa has launched #ShareSisonke. This is a skill-sharing initiative that offers free access to professional insights on a wide range of topics to empower entrepreneurs and trailblazers through community-driven empowerment.

Johannesburg, South Africa (08 August 2025) – Launched in 2020 by Kovini Moodley, Boss Babes of South Africa (BBSA) is a digital platform that has grown from a women’s empowerment group into a vibrant community celebrating South African excellence!

The philanthropic platform continues to lead the way in showcasing inspirational stories that transform pain into power, all while fostering inspiration and celebrating South African trailblazers through mentorship and skill-sharing opportunities.

Inspiring South Africans through #ShareSisonke

To commemorate its fifth anniversary and in celebration of Women’s Month 2025, BBSA has launched #ShareSisonke, a proudly Mzansi skill-sharing initiative.

This venture aims to uplift and inspire South Africans by providing free access to professional insights across a diverse range of topics, including health, wellness, finance, life coaching, mentoring, marketing, public relations, labour law, and mental health.

For Moodley, BBSA is for South Africans by South Africans, and everyone has the power to contribute to it.

“We are exceptionally grateful that our community has stepped up to the challenge of skill-sharing and also embraced the opportunity to share their endeavours and market their entrepreneurial brands, completely free of charge. This is the unique offering of our platform,” she says.

This new venture takes the platform’s mission of providing proudly South African content to the next level, evolving its inspirational features with tangible, community-driven empowerment.

Several women making a name for themselves can attest to the value that BBSA has contributed to their brands, businesses and networks.

For Sue Gajathar, Founder of The Vegan Chef, the platform encourages individuals to start businesses and equips them with tools, confidence, and community.

“The Fourways Rustic Market is a good example, as the support from the platform has been phenomenal, with many of our vendors being featured and experiencing growth from it.”

Carmen Murray, Founder of Conscious Leadhers, shares similar sentiments, saying that there is nothing more powerful than sisters and brothers in hope joining forces – something that Boss Babes has achieved through its community contributions, which drive meaningful change.

Czar Motsuenyane, Industrial Psychologist Specialist and Changemaker, adds that the platform has enhanced her brand and increased the reach of her work.

“Through their formidable network, I’ve earned critical exposure and fostered meaningful contacts that continue to benefit both Mind Your Power and the Sons to Men Foundation. I am extremely appreciative of a community that consistently and authentically supports women in business.”

BBSA serves as a beacon of hope for individuals from diverse backgrounds, providing a platform where knowledge and expertise are shared across various fields, including mental health and wellness, public relations, marketing, and brand building.

Moodley believes that her ability to inspire young leaders in South Africa is a true calling, stating:

“Beyond the titles and statuses that we hold, our legacy and ability to give back are most important.”
