Cape Town, South Africa (14 July 2021) – The famous Boulders Beach is having a great PR year. First the beach was the setting for the adorable Netflix series Penguin Town; now it is topping international travel lists as one of the best beaches globally!

Big 7 Travel has a list for everything and South Africa is often featured on their Top 50 lists. Cape Town was even voted onto one of the best destinations of the decade list.

In the past, we have shared their lists about South Africa, including being the “5th most “Instagrammable“, having the sexiest accent in the world and being one of the most festive cities globally.

Now Boulders Beach has earned a top spot on the Big 7 Travel ’50 Best Beaches in the World”.

“Using aggregated scores from previous media results, official Blue Flag locations and contributions from the Big 7 Travel editorial team, these are the most amazing beaches to visit this year (if you can’t actually visit, you can at least dream about it until you can!).

It’s a diverse list, with black sandy shores, city beaches and plenty of islands. From Myanmar to Mauritius, consider this your essential vacation guide…” – Big 7 Travel

“Boulders Beach has something you won’t find anywhere else in the world – you can get close to African Penguins, who nest by the beach. Summer is prime time to visit Boulders, and it’s when you’ll see the most penguin action.

The cool, clear False Bay water and rock pools are an added bonus.”

As we mentioned above, Netflix’s Penguin Town is set at Boulders Beach and the world is loving the series. We are so happy to see the beach featured.
