4 Paws and a Tale Rescue need two new volunteers to help fill the spots of two beloved team members who are moving in the new year.
Scottburgh, South Africa (12 July 2024)—4 Paws and a Tale Rescue, an NPO based in Scottburgh on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast, is asking for help keeping its charity shop open in the New Year.
Nicky Koekemoer shared that the team are looking for two people who could volunteer two days a week, free of charge. They would assist the organisation’s Tale End Charity Shop at Thira Village, 142 Scott Street in Scottburgh on a Tuesday and a Thursday.
One volunteer would be needed to assist with unpacking and sorting through the donated second-hand items which are then sold at the thrift shop to raise funds for the NPO’s work in saving abandoned, abused, and neglected animals. Certain items would need to be cleaned, with minor stitching done, so an individual who is good with sewing would be ideal.
A second volunteer is required to assist in the Tale End Charity Shop, presenting the donated goods in an appealing manner for shoppers.
While volunteers are currently assisting, they will be leaving at year-end, and anyone who could start before then would benefit from a handover period.
Anyone who is able to donate their time to such a good cause can contact Nicky at koekemoernicky4paws@gmail.com. If you would like to help in other ways, you can find out how here.
