RePAWposed 2025 is turning forgotten art into unforgettable second chances for rescue animals, all in support of TEARS Animal Rescue. Don’t miss the auction night on 01 August!

Noordhoek, South Africa (21 July 2025) – What do you get when you cross forgotten charity shop paintings, wildly imaginative local artists, and a deep love for rescue animals? Something utterly pawsome.

Back for another round of creativity and compassion, RePAWposed 2025 is taking over the Noordhoek Art Point Gallery this July, and it’s anything but your average art show. This one has claws, colour, and a whole lot of heart.

The concept? Brilliant in its simplicity: local artists take second-hand artworks donated to TEARS Animal Rescue charity shops and breathe new life into them, transforming faded florals and tired landscapes into joyful, whimsical (and sometimes downright hilarious) masterpieces. Think dogs in cravats, surreal safari scenes, and cheeky cats photo-bombing still life vases.

And come Friday, 01 August 2025, the revamped artworks will go under the hammer in an electrifying auction night where every bid helps fund TEARS’ life-saving work.

“It’s not about perfection — it’s about passion,” says artist and gallery co-owner Aimee Kruger. “We’re celebrating creativity, reuse, and rescue. The pieces are funny, moving, bold – and every single one tells a new story.”

Last year’s RePAWposed event raised over R40,000 for TEARS. This year, organisers are aiming even higher, and hoping that art lovers, animal advocates, and fans of fabulous second chances show up with open hearts and fast bidding hands.

The Noordhoek Art Point Gallery has opened its doors for art-lovers to browse the reimagined works ahead of the main event. And trust us, you’ll want to stake your claim early.

The RePAWposed Auction

Expect music, laughter, local wine, and a friendly bidding war or two, all in the name of giving animals the second chance they deserve.

Because at the end of the day, RePAWposed isn’t just about rescuing art. It’s about rescuing lives.
