We’re never lost if we can find each other!
Global (1 April 2020) – Facebook launches a global version of its Community Help feature in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Keeping people safe and informed about the Coronavirus.
Facebook first launched its Community Help feature in 2017, to give users a way to offer assistance, search for help and receive help in the wake of a crisis. The feature has since been used to connect Facebook users after man-made, accidental and natural disasters, like terrorist attacks or weather events.
Today Facebook announced a new global Community Help feature – a place for people to request or offer help to neighbours, such as volunteering to deliver groceries or donating to a local food pantry or fundraiser.

You can access Community Help in the COVID-19 Information Center on Facebook or by visiting facebook.com/covidsupport. Facebook will begin rolling out its Community Help feature in different countries over the next few days to enable people to help community members who are most impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
This is the first time Facebook has launched Community Help on a global scale. It’s also the first time it’s been used for a health pandemic.
The social media company launched the new feature with an emotional video.
“We made a short film “Never Lost” to honour the solidarity and resilience of so many people coming together during this time. Thank you to everyone doing your part.”
