Justice Desk Africa, a beacon of human rights advocacy, is celebrating 12 years of empowering “Everyday Activists” across the continent through a fundraiser to support their upcoming Youth Ambassadors Conference.

Cape Town, South Africa (13 March 2025) – Our country has come a truly remarkable distance in its history, evolving to uphold and champion human rights that protect and uplift its people.

With Human Rights Day observed on 21 March, Justice Desk Africa marks 12 years of championing human rights and empowering Everyday Activists across the continent.

To celebrate this milestone, the award-winning human rights non-profit organisation is launching a birthday fundraiser to support its upcoming Youth Ambassadors Conference.

According to Justice Desk, this conference will bring together Lead Ambassadors from Justice Schools across Africa, equipping them with the skills to drive positive change in their communities.

Since 2013, Justice Desk Africa has expanded its impact to 53 Justice Schools across 9 African countries, including South Africa.

By equipping young people, through its Youth Ambassadors Programme, with the necessary skills and resources, Justice Desk Africa aims to foster a generation of fearless and informed human rights defenders—particularly in vulnerable communities where human rights violations are most prevalent.

The Youth Ambassadors Conference will provide interactive leadership and advocacy training, hands-on workshops, structured networking sessions, and expert-led discussions.

Participants will leave with practical tools for leadership and advocacy, enhanced communication and campaign-planning skills, and meaningful connections with fellow young activists from across Africa.

Justice Desk Africa is calling on supporters to donate R120 (or more!) for its 12th birthday to help reach the R120 000 fundraising goal on GivenGain.

Every contribution directly funds the Youth Ambassadors Conference, removing financial barriers by covering flights, accommodation, and transport—ensuring that passionate young leaders from across Africa can attend, receive mentorship, and gain the skills they need to drive meaningful change in human rights advocacy.

You can join the celebration by donating to the fundraiser and being part of a movement that is building a future of fearless, informed, and empowered youth leaders.
