With each stride and every beat of determined hearts, Ladysmith community members took part in an impactful Big Walk for Little Warriors to keep hope alive for children courageously pushing through each day to overcome illness.
Ladysmith, South Africa (14 April 2025) – Many hands make light work; however, in this particular story, many running (and walking) feet created the warmest wave of hope for little warriors!
Earlier this month, the Lions Club of Ladysmith hosted another highly successful Big Walk for Little Warriors, where athletes passionately took to the road with each fast-paced step and every racing heartbeat in support of the improved health of young children facing childhood cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
“The event went off without a hitch, and every single walker and runner crossed the finish line with beaming smiles and happy hearts, knowing their participation was helping children battling cancer,” The Cows – KZN Herd shared.
The collective effort of each participant, The Cows – KZN Herd, Lions Club and generous sponsors managed to collect R5,000 – funds that will greatly assist Childhood Cancer Foundation South Africa (CHOC) to keep more than hope alive for the children bravely fighting cancer.
“We couldn’t be more grateful to all who made it possible!”
The outpouring of gratitude extended to the tireless charities, committee members, volunteers, and local businesses who poured countless hours, effort, and generous donations into making the day not just successful, but truly special for everyone involved.
