Louis Kenny, a determined boy navigating life with autism, ADHD, and PDA, and his amazing companion dog, Marco, have raised a lot of money so that many other kids on the spectrum get to experience the incredible support of a furry friend!
Cape Town, South Africa (05 May 2025) – Louis Kenny, a young boy diagnosed with autism, ADHD and PDA together with his trusted four-legged companion named Marco have done something truly amazing!
Having experienced the unmatched love, support and value of having a furry companion, Louis was inspired to launch a fundraising initiative, Paws for a Cause, to raise R50,000 for the South African Guide Dog Association for the Blind so that more children like him could experience the kind of love he gets from Marco every day!
And as of yesterday, this inspiring duo didn’t just achieve their goal but they exceeded it too, on their GivenGain campaign.
Marco means the world to young Louis, keeping him calm and filling his days with love and joy. Louis’s biggest hope is that more children can experience this, and thanks to his cause, they will!
Marco was raised by a puppy raiser for the first six months of his life and trained for about a year to be a guide dog before becoming Louis’s now-best buddy.
The funds this pawsome duo has raised will go towards feeding, training, clothing and medical expenses for the dogs at the Association so that they will be in tip-top-tail-wagging shape for their forever friends!
“As an organisation, it means so much to us when the people we serve choose to give back,” said the South African Guide Dog Association for the Blind.
