The Pietermaritzburg Children’s Home received support and much-needed equipment that will significantly benefit the 80 children in the home’s care, helping them thrive academically and personally.
Pietermaritzburg, South Africa (04 February 2025) – The Pietermaritzburg Children’s Home (PCH) has started the new year on a great note and with renewed hope!
Thanks to the generosity and support of the home’s local supporters, Pastor Noeleen and Sister Michel, through the GFLC Pietermaritzburg non-profit organisation, youngsters in the home’s care will be better equipped to do well in school and show up as their best selves.
PCH is the oldest children’s home in the city, accommodating about 80 children between the ages of four and twenty. The facility provides a home for children who are orphaned and vulnerable, as well as children who are infected and affected by/with HIV and AIDS.
In January, the home received computers and a cash donation of R10,795 for uniforms and stationery, which will go a long way in ensuring these youngsters can thrive academically and personally.
The donation has come as a welcomed relief to the 80 children in the home’s care, all deserving of the equipment and opportunities to pave the path to a promising life for themselves.
“We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the GFLC Pietermaritzburg, under Pastor Noeleen and Sister Michel, for their incredibly generous donations to our Home.
“Your support means the world to us and the children we serve. Thank you for making a positive impact in their lives and helping them reach their potential,” thanked the Pietermaritzburg Children’s Home team.
