The learning environment is about to be a lot more inviting and comfortable for the learners of Reoleboge Special School, thanks to the generous support of organisations who want nothing but to see them succeed despite their challenges.

Rustenburg, South Africa (17 February 2025) – The miracle workers of the Collen Mashawana Foundation came bearing different kinds of gifts on Valentine’s Day for some very special learners.

On a day dedicated to love, the Foundation transformed the popular romantic occasion into a heartwarming beacon of hope for the extraordinary learners of Reoleboge Special School in Moruleng, Rustenburg.

The school serves about 300 students with various special needs, including those with mild, moderate, and severe intellectual disabilities, all supported by 28 dedicated caregivers.

A generous donation of learner combination desks and school shoes was provided by the Collen Mashawana Foundation (CMF) together with its partners, who remain committed to uplifting underserved communities and empowering young budding minds through education.

But the foundation’s generosity didn’t stop there. Recognising the importance of a safe and hygienic environment, CMF also committed to rebuilding the school’s ablution block. The commendable gesture exemplifies the organisation’s commitment to supporting youngsters living with disabilities.

“As part of our Back-to-School initiative, CMF and SEE will also be visiting more schools to provide essential resources and support to learners in need across the country,” CMF said.

It’s through such acts and compassion, that we can help build a world where every child has the chance to shine.
