The world is facing an unprecedented time with the COVID-19 pandemic. At times it can feel like we’re going through this alone, but we are not. We are all in this together – separated in our houses – but all together, and that’s how we get through this… together!
The COVID-19 pandemic has to date infected over 936 000 people globally, resulting in more than 47 000 deaths, leaving more than two billion people around the world in some form of lockdown or self-isolation.
While in lockdown, many can feel very isolated from the world, but an idea put together by the PixelNationTV and Booming Concepts teams is trying to bring everyone together again… by being part of South Africa’s biggest digital mosaic!
“We originally designed the software for event activations but decided to use it to bring South Africa together and encourage them to stay at home during the lockdown.”
The team have created a digital space which will collect over 300 000 photos in one beautiful mosaic. If this were to printed out in real size, it would need to be 16.7m x 29.6m!
How it works:
- Take a picture of yourself at home and post it to Instagram using the hashtag #safeathomesa – very important as you must include the hashtag for the software to find your photo!
- Your picture will be uploaded to build a massive mosaic of a nation together.
- Like and subscribe to the PixelNationTV Youtube channel and click on the bell to be notified when there are updates!
