Trevor Noah won his first ever Emmy for The Daily Show YouTube show Between the Scenes. He wasn’t able to accept the award in person but tweeted his thanks.
The 2017 Creative Arts Emmy Awards took place over the weekend and it was filled with big winners. Some of the winners of the night were well loved series like Stranger Things, This Is Us and Westworld to name a few.
However our Local is Lekker comedian Trevor Noah also managed to bag an award for The Daily Show’s YouTube show ‘Between the Scenes’.
The Daily show won the award in the ‘Short Form Variety Series’ category. Sadly Trevor was unable to accept the award in person. He was in Washington doing a sold out stand-up comedy show. He did however tweet his thanks for the win and conveyed how grateful he was.
