The footage captures Johannesburg street dancers entertaining motorists at a traffic stop on Comaro Street with awesome routines and vendors selling goods at the side of the road – the typical daily grind for many people across the nation to help put food on the table.
“This is what happens when you live in a country and there are no jobs. You get people who are geniuses, and they do what they can to make a buck, and the resilience in South Africa is next level.
“Through all the nonsense that we face in South Africa, South Africans just have a way of getting through it. It is what it is. I love South Africa,” Adam said.
The now-viral video garnered hundreds of thousands of likes and numerous comments, most of which praised the creativity of South Africans and their ability to make the most of far from ideal circumstances.
“Imagine if this creativity and resilience were backed by a working economy for its people. South Africa is a phenomenal nation filled with phenomenal people,” one user positively shared in the comments section.
Even in tough times, strained systems and controversies, we push through. More than just another viral post, Adam’s video is a feel-good reminder that the human spirit, especially the South African one, is truly unbreakable and worth applauding!
