Lewis Capaldi is shining a spotlight on an incredible toy-making charity for “little heroes” in his new heartwarming music video.

Global (21 May 2023) – Lewis Capaldi is using his new music video to celebrate and promote a charity that makes special toys for the littlest heroes fighting the biggest battles.

“Haven’t You Ever Been In Love Before?” a new track from Capaldi’s upcoming album shares Nick Hardman’s story. And in a world filled with heartwarming stories, Hardman’s journey stands out as a beacon of hope and compassion.

As a single dad and 3D printing hobbyist, Hardman discovered a unique way to make a difference in the lives of children facing adversity. Through his remarkable project, the 3D Toy Shop Teddy Hospital, he has touched the hearts of countless kids around the world.

In the tumultuous year of 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic gripped the globe, Hardman decided to utilize his 3D printing skills to contribute to the collective effort. Initially, he focused on producing personal protective equipment (PPE) to support frontline workers battling the virus. However, this venture opened the door to an even more meaningful endeavour. Harman’s journey took an unexpected turn when a video he posted on TikTok went viral.

In the video, he introduced himself, saying, “I’m Nick, and this is the 3D Toy Shop Teddy Hospital.”

This introduction sparked curiosity and captured the attention of people worldwide, drawing them into the incredible world Nick was about to unveil. And the concept behind the 3D Toy Shop Teddy Hospital is truly extraordinary.

Hardman and his team create toys that don’t exist anywhere else, providing children experiencing challenging times with companions that reflect their own experiences. From miniature pacemakers to tiny tracheostomies, these custom-made teddy bears become sources of comfort and solace for children undergoing difficult medical journeys. Based in Leeds, England, Hardman has sent over 3,000 teddy bears to children all over the world. What sets these bears apart is the attention to detail and the incredible features they possess. Some of them come with prosthetic limbs, while others undergo “heart transplants.” These personalized touches allow children to find solace in the fact that their teddy bear friends share their struggles and triumphs.

Hardman handles the intricate 3D printing work with finesse, pouring his heart and soul into every creation. And when the demand becomes too overwhelming for one person to handle, he calls upon his dedicated team of volunteer “surgeons” to sew and assemble these extraordinary companions. Together, they ensure that no child is left without a cuddly friend during their most challenging moments.

Hardman and the 3D Toy Shop Teddy Hospital are living proof that ordinary people can do extraordinary things. They remind us that a simple act of kindness, combined with innovation and a generous heart, can make a world of difference in the lives of those who need it most.
