Alon Fittinghoff turned 30 on the 8th of December but instead of throwing a big party for himself he invited 30 orphaned children to his home and celebrated them instead.

Helen Fraser shared a post about how Alon Fittinghoff decided to celebrate his 30th birthday celebrating 30 heroic young souls. Alon invited 30 children from the Abangani Enkosini orphanage to celebrate at a party in honour of them.
“When you decide to celebrate your 30th birthday to bring joy to others, it makes for an incredibly special day. Alon invited 30 children from Abangani Enkosini to his parents home to share the day with his family and friends. The swimming pool saw eyes widen and they grew even bigger as they spied the jumping castle, slip n slide, party packs and cups, balls, water pistols, pool noodles, hula hoops and more.
The fun began and did not end even as we drove the children home loaded with gifts and tummies full after a wors and burger braai, ice cream cones and birthday cake. What a treat for these indigent children who began their school holidays on a high thanks to the warm generosity of the Fittinghof family & friends.”
Abangani Enkosini is an orphanage in Alexandra, they provide shelter, care, nourishment and support to orphans and vulnerable children. The children had a blast at the party.
People regularly donate their parties to children or donate their cakes to those in need. This year ‘Let Them Eat Cake‘ started donating cakes to children and the elderly on their birthdays.
