Jessica Ronaasen, a dedicated early childhood development professional, has been recognised with the prestigious NYDA SA Youth Award for Professional of the Year. Her work with the Do More Foundation’s “Eat, Love, Play, Talk” programme has had a profound impact on the lives of countless young children.

 

Johannesburg, South Africa (04 December 2024) – With childhood development champions like Jessica Ronaasen, many little troopers are set for a promising future ahead!

Following her nomination in the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) SA Youth Awards, Jessica was celebrated and honoured with the award for Professional of the Year for making a noteworthy difference in Early Childhood Development.

These awards celebrate the innovation, dedication, and leadership of young South Africans who are making an extraordinary impact across diverse fields, including entrepreneurship, arts, science, and community upliftment.

More than just a profession for Jessica, children and their healthy growth and development lie close to her heart. Her work as the National Programme Lead for The Do More Foundation’s “Eat, Love, Play, Talk” programme has transformed early childhood development. Through her innovative approach, Jessica has linked nutrition, parenting, and advocacy to create lasting change.

According to the foundation, Jessica’s collaboration with UNICEF and the Department of Health South Africa on nutrition guidelines showcases her dedication to improving the lives of young children and their families.
