Njabulo Dywili knew the dark path existed, but when a sudden family move placed him on its doorstep, Love Notties showed for him in the best way.
Nottingham Road, South Africa (07 November 2025) – The company we keep, the environment we’re raised in, all have a significant impact on shaping who we become and how we view the world around us.
From a young age, Njabulo Charles Dywili knew he didn’t want anything to lead him down the dark and crooked path. However, when his family had to move to a neighbourhood grappling with crime and substance abuse to be closer to a job his mother had been offered in the nearby town of Nottingham Road, the life he didn’t want for himself became dangerously close.
“We moved with her to Esthendeni, as it was the only accommodation we could find. I was not happy as there were too many drugs and alcohol.”
But then he discovered a healthy way out.
“I then heard about Love Notties Dream Centre. Love Notties very kindly sponsored me. And I grabbed the opportunity.”
Njabulo successfully completed and passed all three courses in job readiness, office admin and computer studies.
“With the help and encouragement of our teacher, Sam and Gogo Julie, I moved out of Esthendeni and got a job as a head gardener at The Hilton Hotel,” says Njabulo.
Njabulo worked there for 18 months before one of the guests then offered him a job in Pietermaritzburg as his gardener. However, that opportunity came to an end when the gentleman sold his house and moved abroad.
Njabulo once again turned to Love Notties, where he was met with heartfelt support from Mrs Julie, who offered him a room and a job at her Caravan Park.
“I am ever so grateful to all those involved in changing my life forever for the good. My heart is very sorry for my brothers, who have not tried to better themselves and are influenced badly in Esthendeni.
“The Dream Centre brings us hope to change our lives forever, teaches us to behave in our community and how to manage our money when working,” shares a grateful Njabulo.
The young man thanked all his Love Notties sponsors who opened the doors to a better future through the Dream Centre.
His story has resonated with many online, who expressed their pride in him and applauded Njabulo for defying the odds and working hard to lead an honest life.
For defending the life you wanted to lead and seizing every opportunity in your path, well done, Njabulo. Kudos to Love Notties for believing in him and changing lives every day.
