Sandra Bekker was doing her shopping and forgot a critical envelope in the trolley, thankfully a security guard saw it and saved it for her.
Pretoria, South Africa – Sandra Bekker had a folder with all her personal information and a large amount of cash with her while shopping. She placed the envelope in her trolley and went about her shopping.
When she got back to her car, she unloaded her groceries but forgot to pick up the folder. She hadn’t realised she forgot the folder until she received a phone call that restored her faith in humanity.
Henry is a security guard at the Mayville Mall in Pretoria. He noticed the folder sitting in the trolley and walked over to pick it up. When he realised it was filled with essential documents and R1300.00 cash, he knew someone would miss it. He looked for some information to help him find the owner and saw Sandra’s phone number.
Using his valuable airtime, he called Sandra and explained that he would keep her folder safe until she could return to the mall to collect it.
Sandra was blown away by Henry’s honesty and a good heart. She went back to the Mall to meet him and left feeling happier than she ever imagined. Sandra shared her experience on social media to show people that there is so much good in South Africa.
“People are not always bad at all. Today at Mayville Mall I forgot an envelope with my vehicle documents, my bank card and a R1300 cash in it inside the cart. Coming home I got a call and the man said he found my envelope and I can pick it up.”
“Henry a security guard got it, phoned me at his expense and patiently waited for me. Thank you Father for this honest man, Henry, who has brought you over my way today. Thank you Henry for your honesty I truly appreciate it.”
Henry restored Sandra’s faith in humanity, and she will forever be grateful for his efforts in bettering South Africa. Great job Henry, you have made South Africa proud!
