Now for the GOOD news! A touching act of kindness through Twitter sets the internet abuzz.

South Africa (20 July 2021) –  There are no limits or boundaries to a touching act of kindness. A recent touching Tweet from the user, Neil Bensch, who had mentioned how “20 USD would make me less stressed,” has been on the trending side of the internet.

Once Neil posted the above-mentioned comment, he received a reply from another user, Tim Castleman, enquiring about the value of 20 USD in South Africa. Neil replied that it would be worth around R350.00, which could get him groceries for a week or two if purchased in the ‘right way’.

Then, to equate the amount, he added that he would be able to get 10 Big Mac Medium Meals with the amount of 20 USD. What follows after this has moved many people around the globe who had read the conversation.

Tim Castleman mentioned that he would send the 20 USD to Neil, and not only this, he added that he would send an additional 50 USD if Neil could take a picture of the ten purchased Big Mac medium meals bought using the 20 USD.

A day later, much to the people’s surprise, there’s a heartwarming post showing that Neil had indeed received the amount and had bought ten meals and had distributed it to the less fortunate people of that area.

Take a look at the meals below.

The message attached with the post reads, “Thanks for making this possible! Your kindness made a lot of people’s day”. This tweet has been getting a lot of likes, trending in recent times. Amidst the pressing time like the pandemic, these small acts of kindness bring a sense of hope to society.

While this was trending on one side, another tweet had yet again captured the people’s attention. A user name @NathiSibiya8 had posted a tweet mentioning that he would buy electricity for people if they sent their meter numbers to him. There had been many replies to the tweet, with people sending in their meter numbers. Nathi stayed true to his words, buying electricity for as many people as he could.

This is another random act of kindness that had put a smile on their faces when they heard about it. In an era where people don’t even stop to help their own family, it is uplifting to these random acts of kindness from strangers, showing that we are all human at the end, who need each other and not just competitors running towards the finish line.
