Orange babies Newborn

Orange Babies has focused it’s attention on preventing the transfer of Mother-to-child HIV and helping care for newborn babies and orphans in South Africa!

The concept of Orange Babies was thought up by Baba Sylla, a Senegalese creative.  He felt a growing need to do something meaningful for the most vulnerable members of our society and especially in Africa. He dreamed of a world unaffected by HIV and started working towards that in 1999.

The projects are run in Namibia, South Africa and Zambia. The ultimate goal is to have an HIV-free generation throughout the African continent.

“Our projects focus on the most disadvantaged children in our country; to educate and guide pregnant HIV+ women to deliver HIV free babies and to support these women and children towards a healthy future” – Liesbeth van der Voort,

The South African projects are based in some of the countries most populated area’s. They offer free mobile clinics, build orphanages and educate families living with or affected by HIV.

More newborns are being born HIV-free thanks to the relentless effort put in by organisations such as Orange Babies and dedicated healthcare officials!

The non-profit created an advert highlighting the importance of an HIV-free generation. They believe that no child should live on borrowed time! So grab a tissue and see how this organisation is changing the lives of newborn babies!
