Benoni, South Africa (22 August 2024) — While most toddlers were getting used to walking and talking, Trey Dean has focused on an additional set of skills thanks to an early love of motorsport.

Since he was three, Trey was drawn to hum of engines and the thrill of riding. Now at 8-years-old, he’s earned the opportunity to represent his entire country at the upcoming 2024 FIM Africa Motocross of African Nations Continental Championships. The Championships will take place in Morocco in from 25 October.

“Trey has achieved outstanding placements at his national races and is an incredible rider. He is extremely passionate about the sport and has put in so much time and dedication to ensure he always gets the best results, so it comes as no surprise that this opportunity has found him,” shares family member Lauren Lamprecht.

“As a family, we have come together in every way possible to help Trey make this dream come true. This is obviously an extremely expensive opportunity, but we know that these opportunities don’t come often, and because of this, we would like to try get as much reach as possible, to help Trey achieve his dream of representing South Africa.”

Without sponsorship, Trey is hoping that South Africans will rev up support for him.

Motorsport enthusiasts and those who simply want to see South African champions get their moments in the sun can support Trey in the following ways:
