With his impressive skills and potential, Ntando is well on his way to a promising career in cricket.

 

Durban, South Africa (04 September 2024) – Ntando Soni, a talented young cricketer from Glenwood High School, has achieved a remarkable milestone.

Selected for the South African U19 Emerging Cricket Team, Ntando’s hard work and dedication on the pitch have paid off.

According to Super Sport School Plus, Cricket South Africa has undertaken the first step in their 2026 U19 Cricket World Cup preparations announcing a 15-member emerging U19 squad to tour Zimbabwe from 15-30 September and will face the U19 Zimbabwe side while on tour.

Ntando has been the Glenwood High School’s first Team Cricket captain for two years and has made a mark as a right-arm fast bowler and middle-order batter.

Reflecting on his recent national sporting accomplishment, Ntando shared:

“It was a fantastic opportunity to learn from the best U19 coaches in the country, showcase my skills, and absorb valuable information to improve as a cricketer and a person.”

The rising star’s previous accomplishments include representing KZN from as young as U11 all through to the U19 age group and making the SA school’s cricket team in 2023, where he earned man of the match.

“His dedication and achievements continue to make Glenwood proud. Keep shining, Ntando!” the school proudly said.
