The names of the athletes who will represent Team South Africa in the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games have been revealed.

 

South Africa (16 August 2021) – Team South Africa has confirmed the star-studded squad that will represent the nation at the delayed Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.

The team of 34 athletes competing in seven sports was announced on 14 August 2021.

Kicking off on Tuesday, August 24, the highly anticipated competition will run until Sunday, September 5.

In the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, the South African team won a total of seventeen medals; seven gold, six silver, and four bronze.
