Long Drive

Chloe Garner has become one of the World Long Drive Champions for 2019, and at the ceremony, she flew the South African flag high!

Oklahoma, United States – Chloe Garner, born in Somerset West, is currently in the United States of America competing in the World Long Drive Champions. Chloe started competing on the long drive circuit in 2016 and has worked hard to achieve this success.

In 2016 and 2018, Chloe was able to earn herself the second-place spot. Now she can proudly wear her championship belt with pride.

The World Long Drive Competitors are given eight balls in 3 minutes to try and achieve the longest possible drive. A “qualified drive” must land and come to rest within the grid boundaries. Chloe earned her title by hitting a 346-yard drive on her second attempt.

“That was unbelievable,” said Garner. “I felt really good going into it. I felt like I had found a good rhythm. I think maybe Phillis felt a bit more pressure having to back up those titles, whereas I was able to let loose.”

Chloe, congrats on your big win and flying the South African flag high. We are so proud of you and all your hard work.
