The South African World Para Surfing team shone brightly at the championships this past weekend; SA earned three podium places and ranked 5th overall!

South Africa (12 December 2022) – Adaptive Surfing South Africa reached out to share the happy news that South Africa had placed 5th overall at the 2022 Pismo Beach World Para Surfing Championships which took place from the 7th-11th of December. Not only did we place 5th, but three of our incredible surfers earned podium places during the event.

Several organisations representing South Africa were at the event including Made for More, the Roxy Davis Foundation and Adaptive Surfing South Africa. Through fundraising efforts run by the various organisations, a few of the team members got to travel overseas for the first time and compete in their first-ever international championship.
