The Swimming team for South Africa has earned 14 medals, including 10 Gold and 4 Silver. South Africa is doing incredibly well at the 2022 Region V Games.
Lilongwe, Malawi (06 December 2022) – Swimming South Africa is proud to share that the team has earned 14 medals while competing at the 2022 Region V Games in Malawi. This is incredible news!
The 2022 Region V Games run from the 2nd of December until the 12th of December 2022. A total of 3000 athletes from ten African countries are competing. South Africa is always a front-runner at this event and this was proven last year, even after the squad was pulled halfway through the games due to Covid-19.
These medals were earned during the first day of the swimming events. There was initially a delay in the event but thankfully, the team hit the water strong.
The swimming team is made up of 39 incredibly talented swimmers.
