The South African Majorette and Cheerleading Association (SAMCA) turned up the vibes at the opening ceremony of the MWF World Championships 2026 in Poland, joining athletes from around the world for a spectacular start to the competition.
With the South African colours on display, the ceremony celebrated the sheer variety of disciplines within the sport, bringing together athletes from different backgrounds and countries under one roof.
The organisers described the opening ceremony as a celebration of the sport’s skill, diversity and disciplines and the footage gives a taste of the atmosphere as the championships officially get under way.
From the music and performances to the athletes proudly representing their countries, it was quite the way to kick things off in Poland.
