If you’ve ever lost faith in the goodness of human nature, this homeless woman’s story may restore it.

Lottie intervened during a robbery at the Oxford branch of Lush cosmetics, stopping a burglar who was trying to steal over £1,000 ($1,443) worth of products and a laptop.

Lottie, who regularly sleeps rough outside the store (with her dog), “knew that the man walking out of our shop was not us, and she did the extraordinarily brave thing of challenging him,” staff from the store said about the incident.

Describing her actions as “selfless,” the store’s staff said she brought them back the box full of products and the laptop.

The local store who admitted to “always feeling safer with her outside the shop,” now wants to help Lottie and tell others about her actions through a Go Fund Me page.

“We want to share what Lottie did with all of you, because we are greatly moved by her selfless actions in protecting us, and want to thank her from the bottom of our hearts,” they said, asking for donations to help Lottie and homeless charities around Oxford.

Over £7,000 ($10,104) has been raised so far for Lottie and homeless charities.
