A man by the name of Charles Peter Kambalame took the time to hand-write a letter for several people, asking for a job; his dedication is inspiring.
Kuilsriver, Western Cape – There is no denying that there is a problem with employment in South Africa. Many people are unemployed and desperate to work. While people may have some negative opinions about the unemployed in South Africa, there are some genuinely hardworking people out there who just haven’t had the chance to prove themselves.
This is the case for Charles Peter Kambalame, who took the time to write a letter to each house down a street in Kuilsriver. In fact, he could have done so for every street in the area; we just wouldn’t know.
All he asked was to be considered for a position as a gardener.
Suzanne Long contacted us to share the story, saying how deeply she admired his effort in finding a job. Suzanne had seen the letter when Tertius Gous shared it with the regret of not having a position to offer. In less than 24 hours since Tertius shared the original post, over 1000 people have shared Charles’ letter in the hopes he gets the employment he deserves.
Many are inspired by him and are hoping he gets the very best in life. It goes to show that sometimes you just need to go one step above the rest to stand out. This is the second time this week that a handwritten letter has helped someone’s life change.
