The Home of Hope has compiled 18 wishes in the lead-up to Mandela Day so that people can find the 67 minutes that fits their skill, ability and/or budget.

Table View, South Africa (06 July 2023) – This year, the Home of Hope is sharing 18 wishes for Mandela Day. They are sharing one wish each day, in the lead-up to Mandela Day. Their hope is that the public will easily be able to grant smaller wishes and help them make Mandela Day 2023 the best one yet!

Home of Hope is a non-profit organisation that cares for abused and abandoned children in South Africa, especially those suffering from Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) – permanent brain damage caused by prenatal exposure to alcohol. The home is based in Table View, Cape Town.

So far, some of their wishes have included sponsoring a child living at the home, selecting the home as a charitable beneficiary when hosting an event, decluttering to help them stock their charity shop and providing food, cleaning products or toiletries.

They care for around 20 children and teens at present so every helping hand helps them make a difference. The team is committed to giving each child a childhood that is filled with support and care.

You can find the daily wishes via Facebook here. There could be one or more wish that falls within your scope of ability or budget so be sure to reach out. Each post contains all the details one would need to make a donation.
