The pre-game moment that stole hearts! The Springbok spirit was brilliantly captured when a sharp-dressed little boy ran onto the field and whipped out a green and gold jersey, sparking a stadium-wide roar from the crowd.
Cape Town, South Africa (08 December 2025) – As excitement reached an incredible high ahead of the highly anticipated Springbok Sevens HSBC SVNS Cape Town game against Argentina, a little boy stole hearts!
A video shared by SuperSport Rugby on Facebook showcases this adorable chap, dressed in a sharp shirt, trousers, and sneakers, as he runs onto the field at Cape Town Stadium with a rugby ball in hand, ready to present it to one of the Argentine players just moments before the game began.
Clearly not a shy one in front of a fully packed stadium of rugby fans, he whipped out a Springboks jersey, holding it high with pride. The crowd erupted in cheers, fully entertained by the boy’s bold and charming display.
After making his adorable gesture, he waved off the field with the green and gold jersey, almost prophetically hinting at the outcome of the match.
The Springbok Sevens successfully defended their HSBC SVNS Cape Town title, edging out Argentina by a narrow 21-19 in a hard-fought final on Sunday afternoon.
The video has been a hit with thousands of viewers, garnering over 720K views in under 24 hours. South Africans flooded the comments section with heartwarming comments, showing the young entertainer tons of love.

Karabo Antonio Sedibe admired the boy’s potential:
“Am I the one seeing this boy 30 years from now being interviewed on TV about this very moment, and there’s lots of laughter in that studio, man! I’m already seeing it.”
