Animal Welfare Assistant and Field Officer Paulos Lenka Kholu is being celebrated for 14 years of dedicated service to animals, communities and SPCA Springs.
Springs, South Africa (04 June 2026) – For 14 years, one familiar face has been greeting animals, colleagues and community members with the same warmth, kindness and unmistakable smile at SPCA Springs.
Paulos Lenka Kholu recently celebrated 14 years of service with the organisation, marking more than a decade of dedication to animal welfare and the people who share his passion for making a difference.
As an Animal Welfare Assistant and Field Officer, Paulos has become a well-known and respected figure within the Springs community. His role has seen him rescue animals in distress, educate residents on responsible pet care, assist vulnerable communities and help give a voice to animals that cannot speak for themselves.
While the work often comes with long hours, difficult conditions and emotionally challenging cases, Paulos has built a reputation for approaching every situation with patience, compassion and professionalism.
Those who work alongside him describe him as much more than a colleague. To many at SPCA Springs, Paulos is a mentor, a friend and a constant source of encouragement whose positive attitude helps lift spirits even on the most demanding days.
The organisation says Paulos’ commitment, humility and willingness to help wherever needed have helped shape SPCA Springs into what it is today. Whether responding to a rescue call, supporting a community project or lending a helping hand to a colleague, he remains someone people can rely on.
As he reaches the 14-year milestone, SPCA Springs has paid tribute to a man whose impact can be measured not only in the animals he has helped, but also in the lives he has touched along the way.
