The Douglasdale SAPS went out into the Fourways area of Johannesburg and made sure the women received a little something special on Women’s Day.
The Douglasdale SAPS came out in support of women for Women’s Day. They handed out roses and chocolates along with safety tips to all the women they pulled over yesterday.
The small gesture has sparked a conversation on social media with many women saying it was a lovely gesture and feeling thankful for being thought of.

“I think we should all be saying thank you for your service to our police. They really do have a bad rep with the public and you know the adage, be the change you want to see in the world, let’s do that. One small step at a time” – Glynis Brits
“Wow this has made my womens day! this is so nice to see comments like this and not backlahsing them. Lets show our gratitude to them also and work hand in hand! Well done SAPS!” – Carol Ehlers
The Douglasdale SAPS were not the only ones handing out gifts to the women of Johannesburg. In town, women were given a safety pamphlet and a safety whistle.
With all the marches taking place for women’s rights and fighting against Gender-based violence, it is nice to see that the cops got involved.
