The Saints College community has raised R5 million going toward school needs, scholarships, bursaries and an outreach initiative supporting learners and teachers from historically disadvantaged communities.
Johannesburg, South Africa (21 September 2026) – Each year, St Stithians College hosts its annual Giving Day that brings together its school community over 48 hours to raise money for the college’s long-term future and its education outreach work.
This year, the event took place on 16 and 17 September, with the ambitious target of raising R5 million! On Friday, the college shared that with incredible support, it had smashed the goal and surpassed the target by nearly R100,000!
Thanks to generous matching donors, every contribution made during Giving Day was doubled, creating twice the impact.

Your support will help grow the St Stithians Endowment Fund and strengthen the impactful work of the Thandulwazi Maths & Science Academy, ensuring that St Stithians continues to offer an exceptional, values-based education while extending meaningful opportunity far beyond our campus.” Saints shared, celebrating the fundraising milestone.
The money primarily helps grow the St Stithians Endowment Fund and supports the Thandulwazi Maths and Science Academy.
The Endowment Fund is designed as a long-term investment rather than money that is immediately spent. The capital is invested and, over time, investment income can help fund scholarships, bursaries, capital projects and other strategic needs at the college.
It forms part of St Stithians’ wider ‘75 by 75’ campaign to raise R75 million for the fund by the school’s 75th anniversary in 2028.
Thandulwazi is St Stithians’ educational outreach initiative that works largely with learners and teachers from historically disadvantaged and under-resourced communities. Its programmes include extra Saturday tuition for Grade 9-12 learners, scholarships, teacher training and professional development, with a strong focus on Maths, Science, Accounting and English.
