The promising young driver is moving from competitive karting into the Investchem MSA4 Championship as Into Africa Racing expands its motorsport programme.

South Africa (06 November 2026) – South African racing talent Aashay Nagura is already making moves towards his dream of becoming a professional motorsport driver.

The Gqeberha-born youngster has joined Into Africa Racing as the team prepares to enter the Investchem MSA4 Championship, marking an important step in his transition from competitive karting to single-seater racing.

Although still young, Nagura has built an impressive racing CV, competing both locally and internationally. Among his achievements are victory at the 2024 Port Elizabeth Mini ROK National Event, third place at the 2024 IAME International Final in Italy and a third-place overall finish in the 2025 Northern Regional ROK Series.

His journey into motorsport began in an unexpected way, with a passion for virtual racing on his console. Determined to take that interest beyond the screen, he started saving money through extra chores at home before eventually getting his first second-hand go-kart at the age of nine through a fundraising raffle.

Since then, he has worked his way through the karting ranks, even travelling abroad for specialised driver training in Sweden. His demanding racing and training commitments have also seen him continue his education through homeschooling.

Now, the teenager is ready for a new challenge as he gets to grips with single-seater competition.

“Every race is a chance to learn and improve. My dream is to race professionally one day and represent South Africa at the highest level of motorsport,” says Nagura.

For Into Africa Racing, the move into MSA4 is also an opportunity to invest in the next generation of South African motorsport talent.

Team manager Gerald Ekron says the expansion represents an exciting new direction for the team, which has already established itself in GT and endurance racing.

The team believes Nagura is an ideal addition as it begins this new chapter, with the youngster now focused on developing his skills and making the most of the opportunity.

With several years of karting experience already behind him, the next chapter of Nagura’s racing journey promises to be an exciting one.
